Happy New Year!!!!

Okay, so I'm toasted and have exceeded the amount of time anyone should wear four inch heels, but otherwise?

Happy frickin' New Year, y'all!!

Toasted and unable to feel my toes seems the way to ring it in.

In other news: five year plan. I have one. Sort of. What do y'all know about the Denver publishing school?

Haven't a clue as to the Denver Publishing School but hope it has somethng to do with what you plan to do next. I've been away and I'm late finding out about your store closing. Sorry to hear that news.
May 2007 find you beginning a new, prosperous and exciting adventure...

I applied to both it and the NYU one and got into NYU. That's about all I know.

Happy New Year!

I'm also late catching up with the news. So sorry to hear about the store closing. I hope wherever you strike off to next, you find the same caliber of people to work with, and the same level of enjoyment. (On a purely selfish note, may I say I'm very glad that you intend to continue the blog.)

May your 2007 be prosperous and exciting (in a GOOD way)!

Cheers!

I have been caught up in the usual seasonal madness, so only just saw now that your store is closing. I am really sorry to hear it, and hope that 2007 is amazing for you to make up for it.

Hi. I just saw that your store is closing. I'm so sorry.

I'm sure, though, that with your smarts and your enthusiasm for books you'll find something worthwhile. I hope it's soon.

I'm sorry about your store closing, but I'm glad you're treating this as an opportunity. As a former bookseller-turned-editor (whose store just closed last year, although a good 6 or 7 years after I stopped working there), I think it's great that you're considering publishing. I've heard good things about the Denver Publishing Program, and can refer you to some people who went there if you'd like to talk to them. I'd also say that I don't think you need to attend one of those programs to break into publishing, though, although it helps. At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next!

I don't know anything - but maybe Kristin Nelson does? I know she works in publishing in Denver:
