Like I needed another time wasting thing in my life, but I have finally given in and tried LibraryThing. I've already cataloged most of my living room. It's only a matter of time before I hit my bedroom next.
You'll know you're really addicted when you find yourself repeatedly paging through your library in graphical shelf view because it's just so satisfying to admire your collection, and checking your profile page to see if anyone new has cropped up on "users with your books."
Oh, dear. I tried LibraryThing and then let it go as too time consuming and a duplication of effort.
I use HomeBase to catalogue my personal library. It's a book-listing program that I use to list to abe and alibris. I downloaded a copy to my home computer, and use it for my personal collection too. It has useful features including a place for notes and the ability to group books by subject. It’s easy to use, and it’s free.

But it's so much fun to play with. :D
If I wasn't so in love with Readerware, I'd be tempted just to use LibraryThing instead.

Now you've started you won't be able to stop!!
Rosina was the one who put me onto it in the first place!!
